Dr Olusoji Adeniyi

Dr. Olusoji Adeniyi is a social development and human capital development Expert with over 32yrs industry experience in Management and a career spanning over 20yrs in the United Notions system. He worked locally and internationally serving in 5 countries across 3 continents but taking early retirement in 2015 to focus on his lifetime passion of developing human capital and bridging learning gaps. He Founded Primetrainers Africa & Wealthways Consulting as vehicles for sharing knowledge and opportunities for after-service vacation, the sustainable development goals, and retirement planning, among others.

He is the founder of Africa Bock 2 Basics Educational Initiative anda frontline Education reforms advocate for multilingual education. Over the last decade, he has supported the World Bank, the UN system in Nigeria, GIZ and Several Federal Ministry & State MDIs in Nigeria in Human Capital Development. He was until recently the Human Capital Development National Consultant to the National Economic Council. Olusoji has multiple Masters Degrees in Social Policy, Education Foundations, on MBA and a PhD in Development Studies specializing in sustainable development.

Mr. Oluseyi Oyebisi

Oyebisi Babatunde Oluseyi is the Executive Director of the Nigeria Network of NGOs (NNNGO), with a rich background in civil society strengthening, including his tenure at UNICEF New York where he initiated the “Rural Voices of Youth Initiative,” Oyebisi has significantly expanded NNNGO’s reach and impact. He delivered the first ever Google.org Nonprofit Management Masterclass and served as Advisor to Meta (formerly Facebook) on its Community & Engagement Public Policy work.

His expertise spans advocacy for legal reforms benefiting nonprofits in Nigeria to global engagements, notably his contribution to the SDGs’ adoption by African Heads of States. As the Co-Chair of the Forus Taskforce on the United Nation’s Summit of the Future and with multiple leadership roles across civil society platforms — serving on the Board of the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law, Executive Committee of the Civil Society Pillar of the Community of Democracies, on the Board of Directors Network of West African NGO Platforms (REPAOC), and as a past member of the CIVICUS Board of Directors. He was part of the delegation of global civil society leaders that met the UN Secretary General (António Guterres) to advocacte for the opening of civic space across the world and at the United Nations — Oyebisi’s experience bridges local initiatives and global policymaking, exemplifying effective civil society participation.

Mr. Fabian Okoye

Okoye Ugochukwu Fabian is a development strategist, defence and security analyst, communications and public relations expert, and social entrepreneur. He is currently a Special Adviser to the Kaduna State Governor on Research, Documentation & Strategy. He served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Sokoto State Governor on International Development from 2015 to 2023. He was formerly a Senior Special Assistant (CSOs & Development Agencies) to the Honourable Speaker, Nigeria’s House of Representatives. In the 6th National Assembly he was a Special Assistant to the Deputy Chief Whip, House of Representatives. A former Issues Based Project Manager with Coalitions for Change (C4C), a DFID (FCDO) programme, he served as Policy Adviser to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs from 2006 – 2007.

Before joining the Presidency, Fabian Okoye was a Senior Programme Manager with Global Rights, Nigeria (formerly International Human Rights Law Group). He has over 30 years of active engagement with civil society and development agencies. He participated actively in the creation and building of networks and coalitions critical to strengthening of Nigeria’s democracy. Mr. Okoye has skills in facilitating strategic and tactical planning, public policy research and analysis, legislative advocacy and tracking, human rights, network and coalition building, and reporting and documentation.

A former practicing journalist, Mr. Okoye holds a Master of Philosophy in Defence and Security Studies (MPHIL DSS) from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy (MIAD) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Bachelor of Arts (Linguistics) degree from University of Jos, Diploma in Journalism (with distinction) from International Institute of Journalism, Abuja, and Certificate in Strategic Management for Leaders of Non – Governmental Organizations from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA. He has a deep understanding of the civil society terrain and political economy of Nigeria and the West Africa sub – region.

Mr. Ahmed Maiyaki

Ahmed Maiyaki is a seasoned media and communication strategist with over two decades of experience in governance, media, and development communication. He is Known for his strategic clarity and institutional insight, he leads the state’s information and citizen engagement architecture under Governor Uba Sani, as the Commissioner of Information, promoting transparency, reform-focused communication, and public trust.

Maiyaki has held several high-impact roles in Kaduna State. He served as Director-General and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity (2012–2015), shaping government messaging and public engagement; and as Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations (2019–2022), strengthening peacebuilding, community outreach, and participatory governance. In 2024, he was appointed Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), leading its digital transformation before his elevation as Commissioner. With a career spanning print, broadcast, and international journalism, he began as a researcher and sub-editor at The Market newspaper and later became a pioneer staff member of Radio France Internationale (RFI) Nigeria, contributing to the rise of internationally aligned broadcast journalism in the country.

Maiyaki has delivered strategic communication consultancy to WHO, UNICEF, UNIDO, UK-funded programmes, NEMA, BPP, IDEAS, EU-funded projects, NADF, and the Central Bank of Nigeria, focusing on communication design, public enlightenment, and stakeholder engagement. Over the years, Ahmed Maiyaki has also trained journalists, editors, spokespersons, and media aides through major training platforms including BBC Media Action, Global Peace Foundation, African Media Development Foundation, Media Aid Academy, and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), strengthening ethical journalism, crisis-sensitive reporting, and governance communication.

Maiyaki holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Mass Communication from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he is currently a doctoral research candidate (PhD) focusing on public communication systems and crisis communication. He has completed multiple specialized local and international trainings in media management, leadership, and public affairs communication.
